At first I wanted to create a WebQuest about DEMML and claim that it would be for confrences and such. But that just seemed boring. Besides, who is going to do a WebQuest at a confrence. So I was browsing through my fiance’s ceramics magazine and saw an article where an art teacher had her students make their own versions of Noh masks. I thought it would be a better idea to have students make Noh masks for actual use in real plays. So I invented a scenario where a Drama teacher and an Art teacher work together on a project. The Drama teacher has her students write plays and the Art teacher has his students make masks for the plays.

This WebQuest is a combination web research project and art project. I thought that would really bring the subject to life for these art students. Because I am not realling going to be a teacher at all, I had the the flexibility to “become” any teacher I wanted. For this assignment I am pretending to be a high-school Art teacher. The assignment is for advanced Art students who already have experience with ceramics and making masks.
